I don’t know for sure how this picture got on the Internet but if you want to see it up close then got to the following link, Mrs. Griffey.
I think that my other teacher Mr. McGuire is funny too. He’s kinda weird though. I think he’s the one who put the picture of Mrs. Griffey on the Internet.

My sister Jesse is going to be having a baby in September! We don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet but I hope it’s a girl, just to make my dad have six girls in his family not just five. I think that my dad will be happy if it’s a boy because he doesn’t have a boy in his family except his dad. I know he will still love the baby ether way. (Boy or Girl)
Jesse is married to a 20-year-old boy named Daniel. They both have a good job, but Jesse thinks that in a couple of months she wont be able to work. They have their own place in Circleville and have recently bought a new car. The baby shower is in August.
Jesse’s nineteenth birthday is this Saturday and I hope she’s not reading this but my mom and I got her a 32 inch flat screen t.v. and a blue ray player to go with it. I think that we should give Jesse my t.v. and let me keep the flat screen t.v. because its high-definition.
Jesse and Daniel are thinking about getting a place closer to where we live so that we can see them more often. I hope she moves back here soon because she’s awesome and I think that we will have a lot of fun having another baby in the family.

This poem is by Langston Hughes it is called, Mother To Son
“Well, son, I’ll tell you:
Life for me ain’t been no crystal stair.
It’s had tacks in it,
And boards torn up,
And places with no carpet on the floor —
But all the time
I’se been a-climbin’ on,
And reachin’ landin’s,
And turnin’ corners,
And sometimes goin’ in the dark
Where there ain’t been no light.
So boy, don’t you turn back.
Don’t you set down on the steps
‘Cause you finds it’s kinder hard.
Don’t you fall now —
For I’se still goin’, honey,
I’se still climbin’,
And life for me ain’t been no crystal stair.”
I think that the author of this poem was remembering his mother and all of the things she said to him, did for him and helped him with throughout his life. I also think that he was saying no matter how hard you try you will always get knocked down, but you have to get back up and keep going.
I relate to the poem because, I have had some very hard times in my life when I just want to quit, and not get back up. I have had time when people tell me that I am no good but I ignore them and I keep going forward. I have fallen down and made so many mistakes that I can’t take back but I keep moving forward.
I think that there is usually a connection between the authors feelings and the readers feelings, because if you are writing then you want your story to relate to people and give them advice. Why would you want to write something that people won’t understand? You don’t. That’s why most writers write in a way that you can relate to the things that are happening.

It makes me feel sorry for Val because she loves him and if I loved someone I wouldn’t want my family saying, “He’s no good for you. You two only get in trouble. You two aren’t meant for each other.” When I know that we are, and Val knew that they were meant for each other.
This book makes me feel this way because it changes constantly. Like when Val is happy that Nick is sticking up for her, and then she sees the gun in Nicks hand and starts to freak out. I think that I would freak out too if my boyfriend was sticking up for me and then all of a sudden he gets out a gun and starts to shoot people. I would freak out.

I think the most exciting part in Hate List is when Nick gets out a gun and shoots Valerie and then turns the gun on himself!
I really like this book. Its amazing. I also like it because the author, Jennifer Brown wrote it to where when your reading you cant stop.
An example of a part in the book that I couldn’t stop reading was when, I was at home and I saw the words, Gun and Blood. My eyes didn’t leave the book for at least an hour!
This is the best book I’ve ever read. If you haven’t read it then you should.

In the book I’m reading called Hate List there is a girl named Valerie Leftman. Val is 15 and is having personal issues. Her parents are always fighting, her boyfriend is dead, her friends all hate her and her little brother isn’t very helpful, he’s always being a pest.
I can relate to a this book to a time that everything in my life was going downhill. About a year ago my parents were fighting a lot and they were going to get a devoice after being married for 17 years. My little sister is always a pest and I had no friends.
I think that in the end of the book Val’s life will be straightened out because mine is. I think that she will get her friends back and her brother will not be so annoying. I also think that her parents will stay together and get their problems worked out.

Dear Mr. McGuire,
I am reading the book Hate List by Jennifer Brown. I really like this because it is so exciting. This is one of the best books I’ve ever read.
Jennifer Brown is the author of the book Hate List, she is an amazing writer. I really like this book although I just started it a few days ago, the action is already picking up. She is an amazing writer because she goes into deep detail, she explains things that I could never figure out if someone else would have written the book. She puts a lot of action into her books. Part of the reason this book is so good is because the writer actually puts what the main character is thinking.
An example of a good part in the book is when Jenifer goes into a deep detail is when, Valerie Leftman’s boyfriend Nick was going into the school to get pay back on a person who was being mean to Val and broke her MP3 player. Nick pulled out a gun and then shot. Val couldn’t move because she was so shocked. When she saw the blood she almost passed out. That was a very exciting part in the book because Val was screaming and she didn’t know what to do.
Now people are thinking that Val is the one who told her boyfriend to kill all the people on the list they made up of people they hate. So while all the people on T.V. are saying that she’s a killer she’s the only one that can prove that she didn’t have anything to do with the killing. Even her parents think that she’s the one that was killing all the people on the list. Now she only has one friend….herself. That’s the only one who knows the truth, Her.
I think you would really like this book. I know I do. I really think the author did a great job writing this book. She put a lot of detail and action in the book, so that the reader stays hooked in the book.
